Michel Bauwens

Michel BauwensMichel Bauwens is a Belgian Peer-to-Peer theorist and an active writer, researcher and conference speaker on the subject of technology, culture and business innovation. is founder of the Foundation for Peer-to-Peer Alternatives and works in collaboration with a global group of researchers in the exploration of peer production, governance, and property. He has been an analyst for the United States Information Agency, knowledge manager for British Petroleum (where he created one of the first virtual information centers), eBusiness Strategy Manager for Belgacom, as well as an internet entrepreneur in his home country of Belgium.

Bernard Stiegler

Bernard StieglerBernard Stiegler is a philosopher and teacher of the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and the director of the Institute for Research and Innovation at the Georges Pompidou Centre. Stiegler has been a Director at the Collège international de philosophie, and Professor at the Université de Technologie at Compiègne. He has held the positions of Director General at the Institut National de l’Audiovisuel (INA), and Director General at the Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique (IRCAM). In 2006 Stiegler commenced as Director of the Department of Cultural Development at the Centre Georges-Pompidou. He is also Director of the Institut de recherche et d’innovation (IRI), which was created at his initiative in April 2006. The IRI is affiliated with the Department of Cultural Development. Since 2009 Stiegler has been a Professorial Fellow at the Centre for Cultural Studies, Goldsmiths.

Tiziana Terranova is Visiting Professor in the Department of American Studies, Culture and Linguistics at the Università di Napoli L’Orientale and author of Network Culture: Politics for the Information Age (2004). Her interest include new media studies; science and technology studies; sociology of culture; and cultural and media studies.
